Unfortunately today we had to leave Talkeetna. We were returning to Anchorage by bus and our lovely new friend, Alicia, ferried us in two loads up to the Alaskan Lodge where the bus would leave from.
The bus ride back was uneventful, but beautiful scenery. Liz enjoyed the bus ride much more than the train. Maybe it was because those women couldn’t play cards on the bus and keep her awake????
So, here we are at Anchorage in the Courtyard by Marriott, sharing two very comfortable rooms. Tomorrow is a long afternoon of travel back to Vancouver (plane from Anchorage to Vancouver, with a layover in Seattle). We then have a night in Vancouver and the next day leave for the Rockies part of our itinerary.
I will blog again when we are at our first overnight accommodation in the Rockies.
